Why Choose Royal College of Healthcare

There are three things you need to know about a training organisation: what experience they have, how well are they plugged into the needs of employers in the industry, and what results they get.

Our experience

We have been aged care specialists for 14 years, training carers and working with employers to meet their staffing needs. We have run just about every type of training program applicable to aged care - Access programs, PPP programs, traineeships, short courses and professional development. So we understand the needs of the industry.  And we know what it takes to turn jobseekers into employees.

A strong track record of success - For over 14 years we have trained thousands of aged care workers across Australia and partnered with a very wide range of aged care providers ‒ residential facilities and community organisations, not-for-profit and private providers, large groups and individual services. We are well regarded for our high quality outcomes, flexible delivery and passion for aged care training. Our graduates are highly sought after in the industry.

Our industry linkages

As you can imagine, after 14 years, our relationships with industry run wide and deep.  We understand the needs of this industry, write our own training material, customise delivery to the needs of the students, and are committed to quality outcomes.  Our trainers are aged care specialists, highly professional, and motivated to assist students to achieve their full learning potential.  Our focus on aged care, quality outcomes and the specific needs of employers has resulted in preferred training status with many employers. Details are available upon request.

Relevant and practical training - Our industry links, relationships with a wide range of aged care organisations, and memberships of relevant aged care industry bodies means we are at the forefront of aged care issues and integrate clinical, environmental, organisational and legislative changes into our training materials.

Our outcomes

We have run numerous PPP funded courses and trained over 160 jobseekers under this program.  Prior to PPP, we ran Access Programs offering pre-employment training in aged care to jobseekers. To date, three out of every four jobseekers enrolled with Royal College of Healthcare under PPP funding have completed their Certificate III in Aged Care.  Of those that have completed, 80% have achieved employment outcomes.

Training that’s fun and engaging - Experience tells us that students engage and develop skills when having fun. Our training is adapted to adult learning styles, incorporating humour, action learning, facilitated group discussions, personal coaching and the integration of theory and practice.

If these outcomes are what you are looking for, ask us how Royal College of Healthcare can provide training solutions that make a difference to you.
